“I was speechless when I first heard from Woodcraft that I had won the trip,” Baker said. The Ohio U.S. Postal service mechanic and first-generation woodworker admitted that realization didn’t fully sink in until he received a personal call from Tommy MacDonald, who reached out to congratulate Baker.
In addition to advancing his woodworking skills and working full-time, Baker spends time with this wife and two kids and serves as a volunteer firefighter/EMT.
Baker and wife Andrea share an interest in woodworking; she plans to hone her own skills now that she has earned her nursing degree. “My wife has been very supportive of my hobby and lets me spend countless hours at Woodcraft, whether scanning the shelves looking for the next addition to my shop or getting advice from the staff,” says Baker. “I’m happy to share this experience with her.”
The Bakers will have airfare and two nights’ accommodations in Canton paid for them as part of the sweepstakes prize.
Baker’s name was chosen from among 6,478 entries.
Congratulations, Tom! We’ll see you in Canton in July!
