From what I understand, the shop cams were set up. HOWEVER, Tommy encountered some significant 'technical difficulties' with his server (computer). It just did not have the ponies to handle all the signals. And, with the NEHS coming up, it was more important for him and Eli to focus on getting ready for that than to resolve the shop cam issues.
Like you, many of us eagerly await the 'eyes in the sky' in Tommy's shop going public.
