Jerry,

I did not build the 'tool box' per se. I used the basic design to construct a cubby for my daughter in law. She wanted one full width drawer and at least 6 cubbies in which she could set her scrap booking papers. The cubbies needed to have at least 12" x 12" x 2" volume to hold the paper. Here's a pic or two of the finished project.

My darling wife is delivering the cubby to Ana tomorrow.

That's a very cool and totally different use of the tool box . It goes to show the basic assembly of the case work can be turned in to something different .

Nice use of material , and nicely done too . I like the flacks in the drawer front .

I have yet to build a tool box for myself, precisely because I haven't decided what will go into it. I have a two piece machanic's type tool box I use now, but it isn't big enough so I need more room. When I figure out what is getting moved, then I can work on designing dividers to keep things neat. That will give me the rough dimensions needed for the drawers and the number of them needed. This will give me the rough final dimensions for the build.

This is a fun project. I'm looking forward to generating lots and lots of sawdust on this one!
