Hey..I took the guys thread down because I really didn't like the direction it was going in ....we all know I say guys way too much on the show and it's been beaten to death not only here but all over the web, I especially don't like the snide comments even if it was just in a joking way ...we talk woodworking here and I am a bit sorry I started a topic thread dedicated to my show...I really want our energies spent on design, development BUILDING and sharing of great ideas

Thanks guys,gals and ALL in-between :D

Amen Brother!!!. It's all about what we build, not how we talk about it. I can't wait for Season 2! :D

As I used to say at the opening of my (short lived) show on the University of Toronto's radio station, "ladies and gentlemen, and all you gay camp things that haven't decided yet..."

In our bike group we say it ain't what you ride, it's that you ride that counts.

Here, it ain't how you teach, it's that you teach that keeps us coming back for more!

Keep on showin' us "guys" how it's done, and let us worry about what size knife we use to cut through the accent.

I for one feel bad that it got to the point that you felt it was worth removing a thread. Lets face it folk we all have our little saying and we just do hear it. I just look at what your saying not how you say it. Keep up the good work Tommy And looking forward to season 2 myself.

As the song says, you don't know what you got 'til it's gone.

Our local PBS station is shaking the trees for money this week so our favorite show is in hiatus until the pledge drive is over.

I feel so empty...

Hi,

Please keep this forum, I speak for myself. Your show is the pinnacle of woodworking and this forum is an entry to this learning process. I have just recently taught myself how to use both a chisel and hand plane because of this show. It will be a long time before I will be able to contribute to other forums. In other words I do not have the skills to be an addition to your website and this forum is a great introduction into a woodworking world only possible through a show like yours. Your concern is about Internet noise and please ignore it and do not ruin the contributions you have made to people like me. Does this make sense?

Also... I showed a journeyman woodworker how to use a chisel using your technique via score and chisel to the score and he said that was impressive, so please have patience in this forum and people like me.

Billy

Hi Billy.

Welcome to the wacky world of wood workers who are wild with wood.

We like all wood workers here at local 207, from the magnificent works of folks like our gracious host Tommy to rank beginners who don't yet know which end of a saw to hold. Rest assured, the only requirement for membership here is a love of wood. If that's you, you're at home here. Pull up a stump and chat a while. Welcome aboard!

How you hold a saw depends on what you want to cut. Wooden part and points down, you get to cut wood. Hold it by the other end and what you will be cutting is a check to the emergency room.

Hi guy's

I agree with billy about the show. It's great I stumbled upon it by accident
And liked it so much I dvr'ed the hole seasonso I could catch up that was about 6 months ago
Now s :D :D etting up shop in the basment. I'm very new to woodworking but I've learned a lot from the show. Oh and about the accent I didn't notice and I know people with way stronger accents than tommy don't let the haters discourage you their just jealous that it's not their show.
Good luck can't wait for season 2!
