Tommy always says he sprays coats of laquer, but doesn't say if its waterbased or solvent based. Does anyone know?

I'm not sure but I've always assumed it's solvent based.

My business uses water based products when we're forced to do so but only as a last option. Unfortunately from my professional experience they just don't perform as well as their solvent based counterparts.

I'll see if I can get Tommy to post the answer to your question if someone else doesn't beat him to it.

Better late then never but Tommy says that he uses both water based and solvent based products on the show.
