Looks heavy duty. How long ago was this made? Obviously before all the plastic Kreg models came out.

It's about 14lbs, I bought it new eight years ago and never used it. I don't really know when they stopped producing them, Kreg did them in.

I swear I'm not trying to be as a$$hole, but why would I pay $300+ for a jig I can get from Kreg for between $20 and $140? I could be missing something, but I think it is just to late for this jig. There is a newer cheaper (and more well known) brand on the market. Sorry, Yankee, but I wish you luck.

And one other point to add....... while many of us have Kreg's and even use them on a rare occasion, I believe that most of use here focus on traditional (ie dovetail, M&T etc) joinery. Pocket holes have their place and while I do have a Kreg, it has personally been at least 3 years since I've used it. I guess I am saying that I think you might be trying to sell tis to the wrong audience. But I do wish you the best. (And I'm really sorry if that came off all hoighty- toighty. It wasn't meant as an I'm/ we're to good for that. We more than welcome all comers, it is just what I was thinking and what I think some of the other 207ers might have been thinking.)

Don't worry about insulting, I understand you can buy plastic for a lot cheaper. You would really want this as a collector item, they don't make'em anymore. This jig has been around longer than Kreg. If I don't sell it, back on the shelf it goes.

I'm a tool junkie, I collect tools. I never use a jig, I cut all my joinery by hand, thats why this is still in the box. I do own a metal Kreg jig still in the box too, not the cheap plastic one.

TO: New Yankee or any member: I have a Blount FM50 Facemaker. (Thanks to your post. I didn't know who made it before) I bought it off e-bay three houses ago. It came with bit and driver but they are worn from use. I need replacement bit and driver. The Kregg ones are to short. Do you have the address for the Blount Company or know of a source for the longer bit and driver? Also I would pay dearly for a copy of the user's manual.

Thanks
