Here is a crib I made. Found out my wife was pregnent some 6 years ago and made this crib from plans. Made 54 of those slats. Lots of time resawing 5/4 lumber into 1/2" stock. Then lots of time at the bandsaw rough cutting the shape and then even more time at the router doing final shaping. This is the first project where I had to make several jigs. I can post pictures of the jigs if there is interest.

My 2 year old daughter is in this crib now. It is great to know that both my kids got to spend their first years in a crib that I made. Hopefully someday they will be able to have their kids sleep in it. Thats a long way off though. :)

Looks very nice. I'm glad your kids use it, I built a pendulum cradle for my son and got it done about a week before he decided to come early! Niether him or my daughter never really slept in it (I suppose because we held them all the time!!) but family and friends got a bunch of use out of it as well as my daughter for her babies. I am sure looking at your kids laying in it makes them look all the sweeter.

very nice, this will likely be passed down for generations, it makes me wish i'd made one for my Son but unfortunately he's the owner of $1000 worth of pressboard from a big box store. it's showing wear and tear already in less than a year and a half.

keep up the good work.

Nicely done Code, should last for a good many generations. :) What did you use for the slide mechanism on the front?

Nates, be very proud of your creation as well. Maybe your kids didn't sleep in it, but its going to be used and remembered as well. :)
