Description

THIS WEEK on Rough Cut – we’re going to be building a herringbone veneered-top box, just like this one. It’s a great project for learning box construction. The joinery we’ll be using today is the splinted miter – and the really cool thing about today’s project is this great little herringbone pattern we made for the top of the box. It really provides a lot of bang for the buck. And for our Rough Cut Road Trip – we’ll head to Quincy Massachusetts and the John Adams House – where we checked out the Jefferson Letter’s Desk that was there – which had some really killer veneer. Its all coming up – right here – on Rough Cut.
